Lifetime Member
Lifetime benefits are granted to members who separate from the department after completing ten consecutive years as dues-paying members. Lifetime membership is also extended to spouses and dependent children of members who die in the line of duty. Any breaks in membership disqualify individuals from lifetime membership eligibility.
If a member is granted lifetime membership upon separation from the department and is subsequently reemployed, lifetime benefits will be revoked. The member must then resume dues payments through Payroll.
